Lately, I've noticed that I have a really bad case of "sticky hands," meaning I just kind of pick up and take things off the ground. It's been a habit of mine since I was about 4/5. If I found a rock that I thought looked cool, I'd slip it into my pocket to take it home. Some time later, a pile of rocks had just accumulated in an empty drawer of my nightstand. And here I am years later, with 10 different jars/containers full of rocks and crystals.

most times when i've gone to a beach, on a hike, etc i'll pick up a few nice rocks and bring them back home—small smooth ones you can hold with the thumb are good—you can set up little piles around the house and get reacquainted with them every now and then

Idk whether it was a child or a contractor/groundskeeper with a vibrant inner child but someone collected a bunch of very pretty rocks and put them all at the bottom of the stairs near my apartment. I simply have to thank them for this super cool assortment. Here are just 3 of those rocks on display on my little shelf

there is more than history in these rocks. inside exists an energy, kinetic and spiritual stored for millions of years. you need to gather the rocks to activate these powers. everyone knows this. then you need to whisper into them, talk to them: rock i hope you cherish the tender warmth of my human blood underneath this hand skin. and now its awake! do what you will with its power.   pro tip: i usually write my crushes name on them then turn them over with the written name face down. that way i know my crush is thinking of me.

I feel like I just need a fresh, new approach on life. Also decided to finally buy the book after hearing about it so much on podcasts.

What bag I bring, and what's in it depends on where I'm going + how long I'll be out. But for the most part here's what I carry + my bags: - my laptop (for journaling + to look studious on the train) - physical journal (in case I don't bring my laptop) - period pouch (you never know) - pencil case (for journaling) - a container of mints (not super fond of the container 💔) - wallet (duh) - battery pack (again, you never know) - keys (duh) + headphones (I forgor)
