In Barcelona, a boy named Daniel runs a bookstore with his dad. when he’s old enough, his Dad takes him to the cemetery of forgotten books, where bookkeepers are tasked with picking one book to preserve so the story within won’t be lost to time. Daniel finds out the author of the book he found is missing and the books he wrote have been destroyed, so he goes on a journey to find the author and figure out why the books were destroyed
A non traditional western about a man’s life, starting in his home country and continuing in the US after he’s separated from his family. I would say this is not my usual genre (historical fiction), but I serious loved it and everyone in my book club enjoyed it as well. It’s paced nicely, so I never got bored, and the writing was so enjoyable.
