i'm thinking like an analysis of a fictional character i like or smth where I can pretend im a video essayist without the actual "making-a-video" part. plus it might help me become a better writer or smth.
bc ik there has been a lot of critiques of video essays on yt nowadays with most being overly long and not deserving the runtime spending 80% of the time giving a beat-for-beat summary which lowkey goes against the main rule of writing: being concise, so like it will be a fun writing exercise especially taking the current climate of idk pop culture essays into account? lowkey i might not be making sense guys

Not every idea is a good idea. But maybe a small part of it is, or maybe it can grow into one, or maybe it will lead to the next good idea, or maybe you just need to get all those lousy ideas out of the way so the good ones have room to breathe.
Or maybe it just feels good to write and this fixation on good vs bad ideas is the thing that’s in the way.

dealing with disappointment but remembered this and realised it might not work out the way i planned out but that's okay. made it my lockscreen to remember it.
also context - NBC was really fucking him over here. it was his last tonight show episode I think, so it means a lot that he specifically was like cynicism leads nowhere.

About a British Indian girl who joins a women's football team which her parents don't approve of.
This film made waves for British Asian representation.
It does a great job of balancing social commentary with comedy.
