i find cooking videos really helpful for language learning because they’re immediately applicable to my daily life and I can see what the person is doing as they’re talking about it. at this stage it‘s usually easier for me to understand people who learned French as their second language. so I like this woman’s channel both for listening practice and learning more about Japanese cooking.

they can show you how to make specific recipes but usually the videos also include really good cooking tips (from people with lots of kitchen experience) that you can incorporate into any cooking adventure! this is how i learned more about food/how it works/cooking techniques. there is so much content out there that you can definitely find a format or chef that is really entertaining to you and also helps you learn
