Even though I already had the plot twist spoiled for me before watching, I feel like a rewatch knowing everything that happens in this film would feel boring now that I'm no longer looking for clues that line up with what happens in the end.

I understand that thereโ€™s a certain appeal going into experiences totally blind, discovering plots and details in real time. But I also think the concept of โ€œspoilersโ€ trains us to believe the magic of certain art forms is in the grand reveal. Believing something is spoiled/rotten/devalued once the โ€œsecretโ€ is out feels like a symptom of living in a world where everything is seen as disposable. Instead of being disappointed by premature reveals, try letting it spark even more intrigue, curiosity, and attention to detail ๐Ÿ’•

It's one of my all time favorites, but only because I watched it with no previous knowledge of it, I didn't read the movie description, and I think going into it completely ignorant was the perfect way to watch. (I later found out that the description of the movie, had I read it, would've spoiled a big plot point that I didn't know would happen when watching.) Because of that, I don't think watching it knowing the whole movie would be as enjoyable. Even though the plot point wasn't made as a twist, it felt like one to me, and that was awesome. I've kept my review vague incase anyone wants to watch it ๐Ÿ˜‰ I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT READING ANY DESCRIPTIONS FIRST. don't look it up, ignore any description on the streaming service you watch it on, just let it play.

then watching the trailer post, reliving all the fun [or not] times you just had. Did this recently with Anatomy of a Fall and wow, would have been a completely different [bad] experience if I had seen the trailers first.

I love finding a secondhand book with annotations, it feels so special to see a glimpse into what someone else was thinking while reading. Even if it's surface level notes for like a class or something, it makes me feel connected to the greater whole of humanity.

I don't have any specific ones on the top of my head but when I was looking for inspo for a magazine I was making I stumbled upon the collection of Zines on Internet Archive. They have categories for punk, feminist, art, fanzines, etc and they're fun to look through. They also have a category of unsorted ones that feels like digging through a bin trying to find hidden gems.

But between the two, team Edward. Haven't read the books but that one scene in I think it's Eclipse? Where Jacob basically pulls a "kiss me or I'm gonna kms" where he threatens to run into battle because Bella won't return his affection... yeah, I was already a bit iffy on him at this point but this confirmed it for me. Really though, I watched these with a group of friends as a comedy, so I wasn't really on any "side" per se, I think they're all really dramatic. Bella is at most 18 during the course of the films, Jacob is even younger, and Edward is a really immature 100 year old. Even though she turned to a vampire for Edward I'm convinced IRL they would be divorced at 20.
