Watched this in a packed Nitehawk in Willimasburg. Not only did I lose all appetite for the delicious fried chicken sandwich and fries in front of me, I also started getting paranoid about someone in the audience potentially being a cannibal who was there to see themselves represented on the big screen (I was there alone to see Timothee!!). I pretty much ran home afterwards. Other than that the movie is 10/10 insanely good.

Bones and All by Luca Guadagnino is my favorite movie that I’ve seen in a very, very very long time. I saw it on Thanksgiving with my family in the movie theater. I knew what I was in for way ahead of seeing this film, and my family was not at all prepared for it, and that was definitely very funny to me! This film strengthened my already immense admiration and love for Taylor Russell. The ability to make something gross feel romantic, intimate and sweet is an art, and I think that Luca, Taylor and Timothée succeeded at that greatly. With flying colors, pretty much. It’s literally cannibalism, and they made it beautiful somehow & something completely worth watching. I also really enjoyed Chloë Sevigny’s presence in the film (she is my icon), and I think Mark Rylance is a genius. It was so damn good. And I understand that it’s an acquired taste.

the DAY that it came out my friend and I drove a whole hour away to the nearest theater it was playing at (just for it to be released much closer the next week) Neither of us have had a theater experience quite like that. The seats were pretty packed, and EVERYONE was viscerally reacting to everything that was going on, laughing nervously at how outrageous of a movie it is. I think about that experience quite often it was so fucking awesome and made it one of my top fave movies for a while, but def one of my favorite A24 movies. The rewatches at home unfortunately haven’t been the same😔

I know there is no shortage of discussion and appreciation for this but I just saw the directors cut at the Alamo and it really clicked this time I watched it first in eighth grade study hall on my phone constantly looking over my shoulder especially during that scene and then the second time in a dorm lounge with everyone else mad at me for picking such a “weird” movie (however those same friends liked infinity pool when we went so I don’t really know what could’ve been that much more off putting about this) It is just so well done and I love all the buildings that were actually constructed I also love all the moments of silence throughout they really just elevated the discomfort of everything happening Also for how fucked up it is it is also so funny which I love Acting is phenomenal too I love William Jackson Harper, Florence Pugh and Will Poulter Unrelated note: diet coke is THE drink of the people there were 9 other people in the theater and literally every one of them ordered a Diet Coke
