now all hats give you the benefit of not having to do a full hair wash, but this one is soft and adds a little country whimsy, old Hollywood glamour, or solidarity with BOH depending on how you tie it and the scarf patterns.

It started when I got self-conscious about my thinning mop, but now it’s a ‘thing’ and I like it. Generally I wear a striped Breton (gnome-y) beanie, but I have a collection of cowboy hats I’ve picked up in Texas on road trips over the years that I’ll wear to the beach. I hate suncream so it’s good to keep the face in the shade. I bought my godchildren baby-sized striped beanies so we can match.

those things on the backs of hoodies? turns out they actually trap heat really well. put on a cap or a beanie to lock in that scalp heat and then tie a hood around your face to keep your head warm.

It's a beautiful thing to have a familiar hat to pop on when the time is right, mine (a LOONA baseball hat) is like an external organ at this point. PLEASE BE WARNED!! I am not saying to wear it every day... that's only for select people; i.e., beanie boys.

just compliment them! just tell them you love their outfit! just tell them their haircut is perfect and you can't find that on pinterest! tell them "i like you," so their brain can relax and they can just be. tell them when you're reminded of something they said or taught you. tell them "i was thinking about you!" and mean it.

extend the life of your clothes by covering holes or stains with embroidery floss and yarn while giving them new cool zombie flair! you don’t even have to be neat, the more imperfect the weave the more organic the result. the best mended garments are almost fungal, covered in sick multi-colored lichen.
