I’m so cheap and don’t pay for apps (other than this one), but I just got the Games app and am fully hooked! Initially thought I’d only do the crossword, but I fuckin love sudoku and connections, not sure how strands or the tile matching one work at this point but possibilities abound. Highly recommended as a good nervous habit phone/ipad activity that isn’t scrolling.

Strands is just a word search, and the words for which you search are hinted at by the title. One of the things is the theme itself, which runs all the way from top to bottom or left to right. I don’t know why I’m writing this. I’m sure there’s a 30 second video of it lol

Mental exercise 🏋️‍♂️, a simple but all-consuming addiction. I’ve played at least 1 game of sudoku every morning for months. I look forward to it, and find myself opening a game in progress rather than doomscrolling IG during those little moments of “in-between time”. I play on a phone app, but I’m seriously considering a back-pocket book of sudoku.

recently I've because obsessed with the nyt games, especially the tiles and the sudokus!! I love sudokus so much now that I have three separate apps for them. Doing puzzles makes my brain go quiet

specifically in the NYT app (amazing for note taking) or a foreign booklet bought at an airport. the logic of it puts my mind at ease and keeps me sharp, it’s so addicting
