heart-wrenching – horny – iconoclastic. i managed to get my hands on the indie-exclusive translucent red vinyl (i don't even own a record player!). the visuals are daring, raw... she really bared it all. her album concepts are always so innovative. the Solar Power music box (an all-paper eco-friendly alternative to a CD box) was stunning. i'm constantly inspired by her to lean harder in my authenticity, and move to the be at of my own drum. trust your instincts. look back on who you were as a kid: everything was always there. @LORDE i love you

I love all three Lorde albums, but Solar Power is my favorite. It got a lot of hate when it came out, and I'm worried she might disown it when she drops her next album, so I want to take a stand now that this album is good. It traces such interesting critical lines between 60s/70s hippie culture and 2010s/2020s Instagram wellness culture while still holding its own optimistic and fresh natural wellness. And Lorde's affection for her home island New Zealand is inspiring.

I think this Album is perfection . She really captured what it feels like to be in the sun and reflect on life.

Lorde released an album today… πŸ’™πŸ©»πŸŒŸ (and performed sensationally at Glastonbury). I’m so super grateful to be on earth at the same time as her.

As the only true third spaces left in a world where you can hardly leave your house without having to spend money, supporting and utilizing these public services has become more necessary than ever. People don't realize just how many free services are offered by their local branches. From workshops, to free access to online classes and audiobooks, museum passes, movie nights, private study rooms, equipment available to borrow, community building – it's so much more than just borrowing books (which is also cool, btw). Also a great alternative to loitering at a coffee shop.

You can connect the app to any of your existing public library cards for free e-books and audiobooks. I fell in love with audiobooks in 2023. They make time fly on my long subway commutes, and help me nourish my brain during mindless tasks. I used to hit my monthly Spotify limit and have to wait a whole month to finish my book. It was equally frustrating to realize halfway through a book that I actually hated it and had no desire to finish it. Discovering Libby has been a game changer, in a low-commitment & high-reward type of way.
