Maybe the phrase “I love you” has been horribly misconstrued and used in ways that make actually saying it feel disingenuous, but those three words can matter more than everything else. Everybody deserves to hear that they’re loved. From your siblings to your close friends to the nice cashier whose smile brightened your day.
Just say “I love you,” and maybe after a certain point, we can see some change. It’s time to start loving again.
