Peaky Blinders Top Gear UK Seasons 1-33 The Boondocks Cyberpunk Edgerunners MUST WATCH
I don’t use any streaming services anymore but I can easily find the shows and know where to look for them on the high seas.

Streaming is too convenient for its own good, except for all the ways in which it has become inconvenient. I have no idea where to find the stuff I want to watch, and when I do find it, I don't pay any attention to it because it's too easy to whack it on my second screen and just play Balatro instead. I watched seven episodes of The X Files last night and I can describe plot points from maybe 3 of them. I have decided to fix this because I miss actually having Opinions about things, doing close readings, and, most importantly - appreciating the fashion statements of my favourite characters. I made a list of shows I would really like to watch - or rewatch - and I've committed to collecting them all on either DVD or BluRay. When I want to watch something, I will put a DVD on with my Playstation 2, put my phone and laptop away, and just WATCH IT, no distractions. Maybe a notebook if I want to get Analytical about it. The first of the DVDs arrived today because I good deal on it, so today feels properly like the first step of this journey to take back my attention span. I am reinventing movie night for myself!!!!

Which streaming service has the most 80s-90s mainstream movies?
I want to love the Criterion Channel, but it’s hard to find things I want to watch. I have a watchlist, but when I browse it I’m thinking, “That sounds good, but I don’t feel like watching it right now”

Recently re-subscribed, and it honestly rocks. anything on there is better than 99% of what i usually end up doom-watching on Netflix or Hulu

Everything in your life does not have to be subscription based, and subscription does not equate a service being good. If I’m paying $24.99 a month to watch Netflix in 4K UHD, I should expect to see what I pay for, not subpar playback latency, low bitrate streams, many app crashes, and overall looking terrible on anything that isn’t a 4K display.
Remember when you could buy things and own them, like, forever?
There is a better world out there past Netflix, Hulu, Spotify and Amazon Prime.
