you’d be infinitely better off investing the same time (and money, those apps are designed to be money holes) developing community without the explicit motivation of finding a dating partner. the people you’re most compatible with won’t be fed to you by an algorithm, they’ll be presented to you by yourself through the nature of seeking environments where you can engage with groups of similarly aligned (artistically, religiously, politically, recreationally, professionally, etc.) folks. go make friends and maybe some of them will be hot and cool and think the same about you, if not you still made friends so there’s no downside.
