i went to momotoys in dtla and it was awesome. if you live in la or plan on visiting i totally recommend checking it out, however you do have to make an appointment through instagram (@momotoysla) since itโ€™s kinda small but the staff is very friendly and they have cool stuff. some things are on the pricer side so i got small items but just browsing around was a lot of fun.

Very instagramable but also a good, giant bookstore downtown. If Guisados is still open nearby, get some tacos. Or walk over to the public market for food and ride the Angelโ€™s Flight funicular up the hill. Up the hill is the Broad museum of contemporary art that I promise is fun to visit, plus itโ€™s free.

Idk about underrated bc i feel like everyone knows la but some of my favorite things are larchmont village (grew up going here. super walkable, rip the blockbuster), tamales lilianaโ€™s (good/predictable mexican food; mostly just convenient/reliable spot to get tamales), ballona creek bike path (can rent city bikes at the beach and ride through from culver city to redondo), the getty museum is goated, and the central american food scene is tight in mid city too (mostly speaking in terms of the guatamalan dishes bc thats where i grew up going, gonna gate keep the name of my favorite breakfast spot bc it gets packed as is but hint: itโ€™s on washington and western)

iโ€™ve always been a causal basketball enjoyer, finding the game interesting but not having a favorite team or keeping up closely with the game. this year however, i started watching more games and found myself immersed in the playoffs. even hardcore fans have called this run one of the best playoffs theyโ€™ve seen recently so as weโ€™ve reached the final 4 (minnesota timberwolves and oklahoma city in the west; indiana pacers and new york knicks in the east.) seeing as none of these teams have seen recent success and their star players have never watch a championship, all the teams are eager to make it to the final. i recommend watching the playoffs and seeing which one of these teams will win the championship and being glory to their city.
