I carved these to try to figure out something that wasn’t mathing out for me with pen and paper, and it was more fun and I like them more than the entire actual project so far. They helped only a little, but making them helped a lot. It’s nice to lean into the the details you’re curious when you have the time, take the long way

I wouldn’t say I completely enjoyed this per se but it was nice to have the task “make a cardboard tree” instead of “write a critical text essay” on my to do list. If you’re someone who’s always creating non physical work, taking a break to use your hands for a while and make something you can actually visualise is so satisfying.

I already do this when I can, but if I was truly analog, i’d be crafting. jack of all trades, master of none: - crocheting - painting(nails or canvas with acrylic) - making jewelry - printmaking - quilting (big fan of improv quilting) - drawing - pottery/clay work - bookbinding/scrapbooking/collaging

just things you do for fun or out of curiosity. you don't need to share it or monetise it. the value is in the doing.

Clockwise: wallet I’ve had since 7th grade, phone and vape chargers and bricks, credentials, portable battery, pants, marker/pen assortment, book, sketchbook, toothbrush+paste,. earbuds and a couple more pens slid out of frame but I’m not setting that up again
