The views off the west coast of the peninsula are beautiful. A good sunset from there is breathtaking. Pier 57 is a pretty good food court type thing with public bathrooms. The docks south of the World Trade Center are usually pretty chill and scenic too. I haven’t spent as much time on the eastern side but I’m pretty sure there’s a park on the edge of east village that may or may not be nice

@GRAPE is there an easy way to convert a live photo into a gif?

@LUCIUS ehhhhh last I saw per @TYLER was that gif uploads are only supported on pc still. I converted it into a “loop” by tapping the top left menu on my phone’s Photos app, which essentially converts it to a gif. I then emailed it to myself and uploaded it on my computer. Not super complex but takes a few steps

I’m from Vancouver where the only cute thing to do is ride bikes by the ocean. During covid lockdowns, I realized you can kind of do the same thing in NYC. I like to take a Citi Bike along The East River to Battery Park, and then up to one of the west side piers if there's time. This makes for a cute date if you want to pack a picnic, but I’m usually late and lazy so I just end up going to a restaurant in the village after the sun goes down. Last time it was Genes.

My god everything is experienced better this way. Stop looking at guides, walkthroughs, endings explained (my least favorite), even the blurbs on the back. Such a rare opportunity in this time to go into something without knowing anything about it, yet so rewarding. To be pleasantly surprised or blown away, to have no idea what’s happening, to find that you really didn’t like it, an opinion formed on your own.. nothing is more valuable
