This is one of those brands that is very special to because at their core, they believe in minimizing waste and not creating just another product, or something to consume. Limited to four drops a year, theyāve managed to find a way to make pieces that are filled with purpose. I managed to buy a wool coat from them this past winter, and I think I wore it every single day that I was able to. (Oh and they number every product they produce)

It took 6 months for this coat to arrive and Iāve worn in nonstop since. Iām working on a longer review for the blog but the TLDR is this: support brands and companies and creators who love products. Iām serious. Big brands donāt need your $, but these smaller brands do. And yes this cost more, but itās going to keep a small company going who cares about fair wages for its manufacturers, who cares about transparency and the life of their products. Cannot wait to keep supporting Paynter for years to come.

Oh MAN is this the hidden gem of #clouterwear. Patagoniaās WornWear ReCrafted program has been serving up sustainable Frankensteins since this time last year, and the garms have only gotten better. While theyāre technically unisex, the boxy fit and c-c-c-crazy colors make these tiny shirt/big pants compatible in a way that disappointingly few ācoolā coats really are. If your WCW has a snap-front skirt, she needs like four of these.Ā Bonus: every jacket is handmade by LAās Suay Sew Shop, a woman-led ethical production shop fighting for garment workersā rights. On a crisp (quite cold) sunny morning in Cambridge, my friend Peyton and I stopped by a Sunday market with a variety of different vendors. I was sold this coat by a lovely lady selling dozens of vintage coats-- after having just mentioned to my friend that I missed my "Narnia Jacket," a deep purple fur jacket I had in the first grade. I tried it on and knew I had to buy it. It kept me warm through the chilly streets of London, even on nights out when I hadn't much under.
Special mentions: The cleaner across the street from my flat in Islington that took the stains and of sulfur off it after a joyous trip to Reykjavik. For Ā£10.
Also, the cat card holder I got from that same market. His eyes are stained and baggy now, so I'm on the hunt for something new.

I feel like thereās a special connectivity on this app that I havenāt felt in a long time, maybe since early 2010ās tumblr. The fact that you canāt promote yourself like IG is wonderful. The fact that there isnāt mass video content like Tik Tok is great. Itās not this monetized / paid sponsorship app. People are here because they want to be a part of something with nothing to gain besides friendship. Seeing the URL -> IRL meetups warms my heart so much (waiting for an NYC or Brooklyn meetup).

In all seriousness ā weird that an app I downloaded in April would make genuinely want to drive back into Brooklyn during end of day traffic for a happy hour. Great app filled with great people.

I think a life rule for me is to surround myself with people who know more / are smarter / are cooler than me and just absorb their aura by listening / observing them. Itās made me the incredibly smart / cool person you all know and love.
I just never thought Iād feel the same way about URL friends. Iām constantly listening to the songs I see posted here, reading the articles, subbing to newsletters, and googling topics that get tossed onto the feed.
Itās nice to know you can become a more rounded person by just absorbing what your mutuals post on here. Iām going to sit on my couch, have a cocktail and digest my lovely feed. Happy Sunday!
