It was really this song that convinced me of the greatness of The Stooges. Not I Wanna Be Your Dog, not Gimme Danger.

Time to get this out of the way!
this is the greatest rock song ever made. The thing about the other greats⊠led zeppâŠ. pink floyd⊠uh⊠the beatles? idk who else to considerâŠ. and im purposefully not talking about the rolling stones BECAUSE this song is very stones inspired- but the big difference (as pointed out by lester bangs) is that while Jagger primps and preens, iggy writhes around and dares you to take a look at what it means to be horny, confused, dirty, no-dream, no-promise, no-skill, no-nothing. the real animus of the end of the fever dream sixties- that mask comes off and you get just a gaping and confused id. Ok those other bands i mention can rock, but i dont think i ever really feel their music in my guts⊠itâs more like a head high, wow far out man shadows are taller than our souls! thatâs a cool wall made of bricks!
this is like a whole psychosexual unmasking- the hippies preferred making love, but i think everyone really just likes to fuck if you know what i mean!
like why did it take someone so long to just come out and sing so messed up / i want you here? Isnt that just the most honest way of expressing yearning�

I just joined a few days ago as my friend Chloe recommended it (she also wants a mug). I find it neat like early Tumblr -or MySpace which I loved until it stopped loading and felt forced to join the cold and creepy Facebook which kept on getting creepier and creepier and then made Instagram creepy too. I have been finding the internet really nasty lately what with AI, Twitter, Spotify, and all these techie supervillains running about. This does feel nicer.
