I go here religiously. I call it the watering hole of “dimes square” my go to is a large honeydew melon/lychee smoothie. 25 Canal St, New York, NY 10002 great on a hot day. be nice to them and the cat.
Not sure what this corner store is called but its asian owned in a neighborhood that’s becoming less and less so. This rec is a bit less relevant now as the temperature drops but their made-right-there-on-the-spot-watermelon-chunk-and-ice-slushies are an absolute reprieve on a hot summer day. Other fruits are available but the watermelon is the certified classic and the first I had, I’ve never strayed since. As a further cosign, Porches casually mentions the spot within the first few lines of his recent track “Watergetsinside”.
I shop late-ish at night, so a 24-hour situation is important to me. This place is in the best neighborhood, and they don’t even jack up their prices. Milk Is $1.99 and a huge tub of pineapple cut up is $4.99. They sell huge water bottles for a dollar. The flowers outside are beautiful, and it’s on Prince Street, and the name is SOHO GARDEN…it sort of glows all pretty on the block at night, too. It’s my favorite place to buy pre-cut fruit in New York City; it’s all in tubs. You dig through the ice with your hands. You have to ask them to wrap up the pineapple, though. It’ll drip everywhere.
wore these so much i bought a second backup pair… they were limited edition and i told myself they would be my wedding shoe but we’ll see if i can save them for that long… i even bought them in black leather too, so i guess i have 3 pairs
