where tf did this wave of matcha hate come from. I’ve drank the stuff since I was a kid, but all of a sudden, I’m being called a basic bitch for drinking it???
Do people actually hate matcha or did they grow tired of green sugary latte amalgamations?
Green tea stays the superior tea no matter what dumb trends are saying
I was hating it long before it got popular I have no idea where this came from. I swear people just drown it in other stuff when they get those $14 lattes you see online.
literally… it’s been trend-ified when it’s actually a pretty traditional way to prepare green tea??? super weird… it’s not a trend, it has cultural significance and they should really blame the way it has been commercialized rather than the people that actually drink it and like it 😣😣
@MEDUSAMUSE I think the commercialization is what turned me off. I kept trying the lattes and hating them. But then I had a traditionally prepared cup and got it.
@MEDUSAMUSE exactly! a lot of the places that serve matcha end up using culinary grade powder (it’s much lower in quality) vs ceremonial grade, on top of preparing it poorly (i used to work in a tea shop lol) of course people wouldn’t like it when it’s been treated that way 🙁
had in japan classic tea ceremony style and now i’m a snob, can’t believe everyone in america is drinking matcha lattes instead of making it like this. just a tiny bit of hot (not boiling) water whisked in bowl. drink straight from the bowl. if it’s good quality matcha won’t be bitter at all, just earthy & smooth (photo is bowl after drinking. no time to snap photo before drinking. you gotta drink it right away while it’s warm. focus, appreciate)
Walked into a coffee shop. Heard a song I loved. Pulled out Shazam. Song ends before I can Shazam it. I don’t think there’s any feeling worse then this
If you bring numbers into a music related argument, I’m convinced you don’t actually like music. how should numbers=greatness? Mf dance monkey went 19x platinum, but we still look at numbers as something to celebrate ?
