i just watched this film last week and it was instantly a new comfort film for me. the grading, the set design, the story, the wardrobe and THE SCORE! it’s so beautiful and i’m so glad i found bryce dessners solo music thanks to the film. the soundtrack has been on repeat. listening to it feels like a warm hug and it makes me want to sit by the ocean and ponder

This is my actual GOAT. Can’t think of a cooler, more perfectly assembled soundtrack. I literally can’t think of the movie or the soundtrack as independent entities, they are part and parcel in my brain.

not only is the movie wild and so over the top in a way that I loved, but the soundtrack is a sick blend of 80s genres like japanese new age ambient, new wave, synth pop, and city pop. gonna go on a bike ride and bump this later
