From the mockumentary icon Christopher Guest who brought you Best In Show (2000) and wrote This Is Spinal Tap (1984)……
A Mighty Wind follows the antics of a memorial folk music reunion concert.
It’s so funny.
And Jennifer Coolidge has the best line in the film:
“Thank God for the model trains, you know? If they didn't have the model trains they wouldn't have gotten the idea for the big trains.”
She has a point !
I don’t know how niche the movie is, but it is probably the funniest movie I have ever seen. Definitely isn’t much of a think piece but man is it good. I recommend watching the movie with a group of friends and enjoy the chaos
One of the best Mockumentary films ever, and definitely one of the funniest. AND THE CAST IS AMAZING!!
Young Kirsten Dunst, Young Amy Adams, Young Brittany Murphy (RIP) and the middle aged powerhouses Kirstie Alley (RIP) and Allison Janney….literally can’t get any better!! Praise aside, there’s a moment in the movie with the drama geek contestant, recites a revised monologue (something about Soylent Green) that mentions “2024” and I think that’s so cute and awesome that on a random watch, little things like that could pop out at anytime.
