Decided to rewatch girls because Iโm sick and bedridden. The first time I watched Girls I was 18, and was living in a hostel in Times Square. I remember really wanting to be like the girls.
The last time I watched this show all the way through I was 20, and I was living in Brooklyn during the pandemic. I remember watching it and missing getting to see my friends and explore the city.
Now Iโm 23, and am the same age as the girls. It resonates differently now, as I am finding myself in situations like theirs, or cringing at how stupid I think they all are at times. Itโs such an odd comfort watch.
