my dad has been practicing this japanese method of fish printing since I was a child and would paint and print various sea creatures (swordfish, shrimp, crabs, an octopus at one point), but since my sister and I have grown up he’s painted less and less. he’s started painting more this past year, and it’s become one of my favorite things to do with him.

Specifically “the reef” print made by springs in 1986. I just found it in perfect condition at a thrift store. I think I’m gonna name them all.
