i was just eating a protein bar and didn’t feel like eating the whole thing, so i’m letting it rest on my nightstand until tomorrow. i used to have problems with disordered eating and didn’t let myself make choices about my food. life is so much more beautiful when i’m well fed

the biggest rec i can offer this app (that i'm still newly navigating) is this specific book, the OG book about intuitive eating. please read it carefully if you've struggled with food (like me - i've had all the eating disorders)
i took to it easily, maybe because i already had experience with all sort of food issues, and it tied so many loose ends for me. i went from being a sugar fiend to being able to eat a piece of chocolate, leaving the rest of the bar behind and naturally craving sooo many veggies and fruits. give the book a try!

stop letting the arbitrary rules of when it’s acceptable to eat certain foods dictate your life. i used to live my life waiting for it to be a suitable time to cook what i already knew in my heart i wanted immediately. eat a burger at 10:30 am because you feel like it. wake up hungover and have a bowl of noodles immediately. drink matcha in the evening. make pancakes at 3 pm who’s stopping you? enlightenment is waiting for you if you do this. i’m freer than i have ever been.

there is nothing better than sitting in bed at night when there’s lightning and thunder outside, flashing and booming at the same moment. tomorrow morning there will be greener grass and more beautiful flowers

there is something so beautiful about falling asleep unexpectedly on the couch, drifting into a halfway sleep where i have the occasional thought but feel completely relaxed
