sweetened condensed milk
i have no idea why milk isn't a valid flavor for treats like it is in china (see white rabbit candy). we always treat it like a neutral base ingredient to impose other flavors upon but it's totally a flavor all on its own!
i've been drizzling it over my waffles and cereal and ice cream instead of maple syrup and nobody can stop me

1000%! In Tamil South Indian culture, we have a creamy milk dessert called palkova made from full-fat milk, sugar, and ghee or sweetened condensed milk if you’re pressed for time. It keeps getting stirred until it’s simmered down and thick and it’s got the most beautiful golden brown color like caramel or fudge. Tastes like heavenn

in the way that every cat has one human food that Activates them and makes them go completely insane for it i have discovered that i am Activated by condensed milk. i got a can of it a while ago to make vietnamese coffy with (amazing, delicious) and then realized i was going to the kitchen every half hour to have a neat spoonful of it it's kind of the best thing: sweet, a little fatty, big dairy flavour, luscious. i'm too scared to do the "simmer it in the can" thing and make dulce de leche with it but that's literally the only thing that could make it better

too salty? milk… too sweet? milk… literally almost anything goes with milk it’s crazy
eating a grilled cheese rn and debating on a tall glass of milk to take the edge off this salty kraft single and to double the dairy on a wednesday morning at 10:30

tried this cake for the first time after making it for my bf’s birthday and it’s awesome. apparently a colombian staple that‘s pretty much a tres leches cake w chocolate shavings and cherries on top. sopping wet with condensed milk and cream. delightful
(note: there is not one english recipe for it online so if u are not hispanophone and want to replicate it u will need to use google translate very carefully or phone a friend)

COLLECTING CDS
i had hopped on the vinyl bandwagon when they had their renaissance in the 2010s but i’ve converted since you can still find good CDs at the thrift for a dollar or two a pop and they take up way less space on the shelf. also still car compatible if u have an older one!
