I am a middle skewl science teacher and I studied science in college so naturally I’ve had to write many-a-research papers. I am fortunately far away from my academic career, but one skill I’ll always remember (albeit vaguely) is how to write a research paper! I was actually taught in high school and it helped me immensely in college.
Intro Paragraph:
Explain what the HELL goin on, hook ya reader!
State your THESIS. Why are you doing this research? What do you want people to KNOW and learn? (not believe because we’re talking in fucking facts here, you don’t BELIEVE facts. you UNDERSTAND them.)
Body Paragraphs ~ A House for Your Evidence
Write out your argument in simple points
- point 1
- point 2
- point 3
- etc….
Write as many body paragraphs as you need to explain your EVIDENCE!
Conclusion
Time to bring this argument the fuck hoooooome, this is where you DUNK on these heauxs. Restate your thesis and be like YEAH. YOU READ THAT RIGHT. Now you know!
A WORD ABOUT EVIDENCE
There is a beautiful way that we find new knowledge in this world. And it is called the scientific method. 😃 It is very western (low key imperialist) way of finding information. If you are going to follow this method, do not be EVIL and use EVIL sources. I linked a quick article about checking sources. There’s so much bull shit research out there that’s riddled with confirmation bias and funded by CORPORATE CORRUPTION. Do your homework on looking into your sources. It matters!
