post-grad self discipline can be tough, especially when you’re burnt out from years on end… but unfortunately it does help matters of adulting - I started giving myself deadlines for my artistic projects (even if it’s literally a drawing) because otherwise I will literally never finish it lol
recently i finished a creative project by setting a deadline for myself and then NOT continuing to work on the project any more after the deadline. i felt an amazing sense of clarity after, like i could do anything i wanted with my time, because i was finally rid of that nagging feeling that i should be working on something. hell of a drug!
im getting back into liking school and work again, and growing my attention span. i like the feeling of finishing something ive been putting off, but finishing something early is so much fun. side note i am finishing up an assignment ive been meaning to finish and is due in 30 mins, but small steps y'know. p.s. if you know any tips i'd love to hear about them
For work tasks/deliverables. It‘s not a matter of procrastination. I won’t be able to take it seriously mentally and feel the necessary pressure to get it done otherwise.
Freaked out when I saw a checkerboard printed roll at the hardware store.. use ‘em to hang your posters or customize literally anything you own… does anyone remember those diy wallet tutorials? and the duck tape prom dresses oh my
