My pre-meal frozen confection saga continues! I was on my way to get my noontime breakfast hot dog (breakfast is a man made concept and anything you eat first is breakfast, fight me) and passed by some people selling fruit-based treats. I don’t speak Spanish so I assumed I was getting juice and it turned out to be sorbet. I felt wrong but then I realized this probably has as much sugar as the things people get from Starbucks as their morning coffee or a juice and it had the added bonus of being incredibly refreshing and cold (albeit much harder to double fist) and paired very well with my cold brew.
I do this every single day without fail. I think there’s something so romantic about breakfast, sensual. Even more so if you enjoy the delicacy by yourself. Setting the intention for the day with the bright sweetness of fruit, the leafy comforting taste of greens, protein etc. I’ve been trying to find liquid alternatives for my caffeine addiction - grapefruit juice has oddly been a game changer. The citrus. The slight bitter undertones. All made and sourced with love. My favorite part of the day.
