This is basically a Halloween album -
the songs are haunted, aching, messy, and sometimes silly. It features a childrenās choir, crooning, and whispers of a dying love, a beating heart, bones beneath your feet.
I listen every fall and, beyond that, this album is a piece of my musical identity. I didnāt know you could break glass and stomp and let songs fall apart and have that all work on an album because when I first heard this I had mostly been listening to ska and blink 182.

It pains me to say it but I was into Ska Punk, I blame it on the Tony Hawkās Pro Skater soundtracks. When I found this CD in a discount bin of my favourite record store I thought I had unearthed some forgotten artifact. It stayed in my disc-man until it would no longer play. Iāve long moved on from this type of party boy, unnecessarily upbeat, and often time misogynist music, but sometimes the opening bars of Beer will play out in my brain and for just a moment I allow myself to slip back...

You donāt have eachotherās phone numbers, no social media info.
I have a couple friends like this and itās been such a nice social change up. Always a pleasant surprise to bump into them out and about.
