finding a new dish to make

Not answering with any particular idea but I like the approach of… think of where u would like to travel and attempt to make one of the local dishes! There’s always something simple in every culture to try out! it could even work the opposite way-take any random place on the map that you know nothing about, look up their cuisine, and once you commit to making a dish, it might inspire you to research more fun things along the way! just my little personal tip huhu maybe it inspires u in some way!

Home cooks are so generous + are usually just thrilled that you liked their cooking so much that you wanna try Urself. I have literally never been turned down for a recipe + love to give mine away.
Obviously don’t try this at a restaurant

Making your own recipes

One of the true joys of cooking is going to the grocery store with only a vague concept of what you want for dinner, and then improvising something beautiful in the kitchen afterwards
Break the rules, make a pasta the wrong way, add white wine to sprite, burn the hell out of your herbs - something delicious might be returned to you as a result
