mining away at the coffee shop can be stressful at times but I love talking to kind people!! especially people with cute dogs (and cats)!!! my job is like 50% yapping anyway so I appreciate people who wanna talk :-) it makes my day better!!!
have fun chats in the staff room. Create inside jokes. make code names for all the worst customers. your job becomes 1000000x more fun if you can make the time fly faster with a team of people you actually like being around!
I know this does not translate for certain jobs. But for this chill job I have right now it's nice. I hung out with them today for the second time since being hired and it's nice to become more friendly with people who live in my area. It's also cool to talk to these people with such different life experiences than me because I probably would not have been able to find or befriend them if not for work.
Sometimes I talk to my family or my coworkers or I hear an influencer online say “I’m just a girl hahaha” and I am like oh my godddd how can you still think like “blue means boy pink means girl” !!! And this literally affects their view on everything!!! What do you mean you think female dogs are “more drama” than male dogs!! They’re dogs!!! Get me out of here!!!!
finally using my portable CD player again to listen to my favorite album that isn't on any streaming services anymore!! it's so fun to have physical copies of media I like, and it was great to not use my phone for once (though the CD would pause every time I accidentally bumped into the player while I was walking to class; it was kind of charming but also pretty annoying).
