it follows three generations of lesbians, about different lesbian issues. made in 2000 and there are some happy endings! itās unfortunately featuring ellen (lol), but there is also a devastatingly hot butch chloĆ« sevigny which more than makes up for that

š¹i watched this in february and i thought this film was super interesting! i think it's a very important film for representation of black queer women (for the time period) as well as its themes of hollywood historically forgetting black actresses, friendship, and romantic relationships. there were a few aspects of the film that i didn't like, such as how cheryl (the main character) basically prioritized her relationship with diana over her friendship with tamara. but overall i think it's an important part of queer canon :)

unions help address racial and gender pay gaps, issues workplaces impose on families and those having kids, addressing unsafe conditions, plus things like better health insurance, wages and overtime, weingarten rights to representation, and more!!!
