love when i have what i believe to be a uniquely horrible experience n find out that someone else has been in the same situation n wrote a banger song about it
This song KILLS me! I used to listen to it everyday during a really messed up time in my life so it’s crusted with bad memories and will forever make me feel hopeless.
Ironically the year anew has me reflecting on the past like im somehow gonna scrounge up a couple bucks in change if i would just look hard enough… I need to surrender to life and it’s tendency to continue . Little music as of late has been guiding me through this endeavor, I feel sentenced to nothing but what I’ve always known . A prison of my own making! Just the same old songs and the same old albums and the same old me . How do I alleviate stagnancy when it’s possessing my very being. I need new music. And I quit smoking and gave up the whole quitting thing after a month. God have mercy..
I think I've bawled my eyes out to every track at this point for different reasons. not even exaggerating. once you think you're done with it you get hit with a brand new emotion and find new symbolism in the lyrics. and another painful feeling to unfurl and free yourself from. if I could get everyone to listen to an album this would be my pick
sleeping naked with crisp new sheets and a fluffy duvet. added points if you didnt tie your hair up. the post sleep only wearing glasses, drinking black coffee and doing things on your laptop hits 10 times harder. or maybe a crossword / sudoku / reading your horoscope from yesterdays news paper. very chic.
read all the books on your shelf before you buy a new one.
listen to all your cds and records before you buy a new one.
wear your shoes into the ground until you buy a new pair.
burn all your candles before you buy a new one.
let your lucky pen run dry before you buy a new one.
let holes wear in your jeans before you buy a new pair.
create oportunity with the things that are already in your possession.
appreciate the moons that orbit around your day to day and give them attention.
make impressions in them, write on them, bend them, savour them.
and when your lost, look to these moons orbit and find yourself in the centre.
