i feel like it’s a rite of passage for girls.. i had a bob like this in the 4th grade AND they gave me bangs for the first time which revealed a horrible cowlick right in the front so the bangs always “split“ lopsided!

@MARXINISTA I still have bangs but as a child I did not understand every banged beauty on TV had a hairstylist meticulously touching them up between takes. Wind is the enemy of everyone w bangs but they don’t show you that on TV!!

Omg omg we have all had a haircut that didn’t work and figured out how to grow with it. I arrived to PI.FYI with my blonde bob after a year of growing out a pixie and doing a strange mullet for a bit. Obsessed with this post!!

ugh I have so been there!!!!! bad haircuts unfortunately are a right of passage in my book. I’ve learned so much from my past bad haircuts. I had one a few years ago that I called my “penis haircut” because it literally made my hair look like the tip of a penis….idk how that was possible but it happened. Thank you for the honorable mention in this post ❤️

Noooo LOL 😭 my version of this happened the week before eighth grade at Supercuts I brought in a picture of Keira Knightley and left sobbing with Justin Bieber hair and got called sir and made fun of by so many people. Bad hair really does build character and bonus points if it’s something you did to yourself

@TATERHOLE that’s so funny because you wouldn’t think they should be able to even fuck up that hairstyle that badly but they find a way. truly they committed such atrocities against us… but yes we made it through and I did eventually get the real Keira cut and NOW my hair stylist can make anything happen for me!!!

@TATERHOLE thank youuu this was the one I wanted in middle school https://images.app.goo.gl/MvdB2 and I eventually got this one by happenstance from a customer I met at an old job who was a stylist https://images.app.goo.gl/3N4L5 but my most recent haircut was actually just something he made up where he called it a blunt step haircut but it was a modified hime cut basically LOL it was so sick (positive). I will usually just let him do whatever he comes up with because he is a genius and an artist but sometimes I’ll give him ideas like we did a modified version of this the time before that https://images.app.goo.gl/EfPjiKys5FPMn7B96 we’re going short in a couple of weeks but I have noooo idea what he has in mind yet lol I’m excited to see his ideas he’ll come in with full on vision boards and swatches
