It's vinyl these days for intentional "no skip" listening in the house, but man, an OG iPod is truly aesthetically awesome IDK if we needed much more than that.

i'm sorry but the hipsters were right - they really hit different. the hyper-intentionality of having to actually get your fucking ass out of your chair and manually pick a vibe for the current moment. the way it neatly segments whatever activity you're doing into 20-22 minute chunks. the way its imperfections make the experience of a given album wholly unique to your particular setup. the way the cases are so big that they can be tiny little posters. great stuff all around

Found this baby at an estate sale and figured I could hook my old iPod up to it. The quality sounds soooo good and now I have all my favorite CDs burnt onto it. Considering having some friends bring over their favorite CDs so I can add them to my digital collection!!

Love all forms of media tbh but I’ve always loved the size of the album art and the linear notes and the goodies that come with vinyl. Theres also something meditative about the whole experience that I’ve always enjoyed. My little music corner is probably my favorite room in my house.

Rewatched Clueless last night and forgot how awesome that soundtrack is. The movie is pretty perfect as well of course. "Tenderness" by General Public in the closing scene might be an all-time best movie ending track.
