๐give em a nod and greet them with a "Corvid" like thats their name and we're old pals, occasionally apologise for not having a snack for them and dig around in my pocket for any possible shinnies to gift em

I love that this is becoming more mainstream in recent years. It makes these animals vastly more interesting and complex than they already were. The connection between dinosaurs and birds feels all the more meaningful and apparent, and opens the door to interpreting their behavior and dynamics- we have their living relatives today to learn from. Also, it is cute.

Cats chirping and trilling at me to open the windows for them.
Squirrels screaming at me to replenish the earcorn theyโve chewed down to a nub.
Mr. Big Crow cawing (loudly and repeatedly) for his black oil sunflower seeds.
The windows are open, everyone is fed, and I can now have my peace and listen to the songbirds sing.
