The slow burn pacing creates its suffocating and tension-laden atmosphere, leading to an incredibly satisfying payoff (if you haven’t seen it, go in blind)! One of the best ghost stories ever made, if not the best 🐐
@ISTHEFRUITSTILLGOOD Considering the subject matter it’s hilarious your mom showed this to you lol. I watched it for the first time last year, I’m late to the party. My mom unfortunately isn’t a fan of horror or suspense :’-)
My dad loved horror movies - not many actually Scared him. After seeing this in theaters he told me he had to turn on all the lights when he got home.
I just saw it for the first time and while I loved it I wouldn’t say this is a Scary Movie. It’s more so a story about ghosts that almost feels like a gothic fairytale.
Nicole Kidman is insanely good in it. The way she can lose her grip on reality while still maintaining her humanity is heartbreaking.
SO, highly recommend watching especially on a foggy/stormy night. And make sure to lock that door behind you thx love u so much xoxo4evr
My dad teases me about how when I was a little kid, my favorite thing to do when I was on the landline phone with somebody—be it a relative or one of my best friends—was to breathlessly describe the things that were in my bedroom so that they could have a mental picture of everything I loved and chose to surround myself with, and where I sat at that moment in time. Perfectly Imperfect reminds me of that so thanks for always listening and for sharing with me too 💌
