I really enjoy the way Michael Mann lets us soak every color and every line. At a point, it feels like we’re having a long and quiet conversation with a deranged William Petersen. On a side note, of all the Hannibal Lecter performances out there, Brian Cox‘s is not the best, but it really looks like he straight up eats people.
The delivery of literally every WORD of this is so unexpected and impactful! You can see him choose to avoid the usual beats and pacing and it’s fucking awesome!!!!
