i feel that one hit wonders can have more than one hit, probably max 3-4 though. may be controversial seeing as i am literally opposing the definition of a one hit wonder. it’s about the cultural moment! i will be doing deep dives
yeah so i’m listening to tiktok hits and not a bad band with 0 production value with 200 monthly listeners sue me sometimes things are popular for a reason the real counter culture thing to do is follow your heart and sometimes your heart is generic pop music, chipotle, and the occasional marvel movie
this is a working thought. but some good examples are nathan for you, poor things, the recent adoption of hyperpop and brat, things that you would think are only loved and seen by the niche or the subculture but are really just part of the mainstream culture and its presence there is actually kind of confusing. how did you get here...
