Definitely not crucial to see in a theater, but after it ended I sat in the lobby for a while just pensively reflecting on life. Couldn't tell you the last movie that left me in that state
from the start, the sound design of this movie makes you focus on the present. being there in the moment with his routine and enjoying the day, even if it’s rote. the end got me. it’s a reminder to appreciate moments that we often just want to get through, and that life has its ebbs and flows.
more than anything it taught me to appreciate and find beauty in the mundan. it taught me to slow down. so much of me was revealed in it. i love it, greatly!
