Everyone hated this movie but i think it's an unappreciated piece of art and people are just neflix impatient / looking for comforting stuff….the trauma porn thing i don't get, these things happened, did they not? so what are they supposed to do, ignore it? that's not why i like it , just showing the struggles ...Malcolm x isn't called trauma porn? his dad was killed by the kkk... should they leave that out? fuck the haters,i've always been a Marilyn fan, fascinated at humans as inspiring art, like Brando or James Dean... didn't know much about her personally, but found the movie and music to be a beautiful work of art and full of interesting strong philosophical questions & statement.just so bored with the modern posturing. i hear a self appointed inquisitor grilling something mildly inoffensive & all i hear is a salem puritan accuser explaining why such and such witch should be burned or why such and such books should be burned. Because we're modern we think we're somehow beyond those instincts, but we are certainly not. i want progress, i'm just frustrated that the fight for equality and justice gets often hijacked by such thinking.

i feel like im seeing a lot of people hate this movie. HOWEVER im going to be controversial and say i loved it. who cares if the little to no plot barely makes sense. who care if its basically a fanfic with a huge budget. lets allow these erotic odd movies to be viewed, even if its just for the sake of being viewed and not for substance.

Finally watched Blink Twice last night. Was horrified by most of it. But also, good for her. Same thoughts on the movie Maxxxine.

1. Beautiful Boy 2018 (idk why it took me so long to see it but truly such a beautiful film, as someone with real experience with addicts in the family that shit hit harder than a brick) - phenomenal, gorjusss 10/10 2. The pirate 1948 - Gene Kelly I want you and imma have you (he’s literally dead) 9/10 also RIP miss Judy Garland i love you. 3. Dragonslayer 1981 - I love a good 80s dark fantasy movie, and this one has a gay little cross-dressing nonbinary diva in it so 8/10 4. Black Narcissus 1947 - The imagery and the pure attention to detail in creating those majestic backdrops and sets, is enough to give this one a high score, andddd im such a sucker for themes of religious guilt and female sexual repression. But there is a lot of brown face in this movie that is really hard to get past once you clock it so 7/10.

all the 24hr restaurants have been washed away by the pandemonium...(talking about the best new york food places is tough -the instinct is to keep the underrated spots to yourself so you don’t blow up the spot and then have to deal with a line of people. On the other hand you want them to do well and stay open forever and spread the word.)This is the 24 hour spot for the most mindblowing food. looks like a gas station booth honestly. but secretly Pakistan's finest. chicken sandwich or Samosa Chaat , all GREAT.if you wanna sit and eat 24/7 seems like only Remedy Diner at the moment unfortunately. Crazy. NYC: the city that now sometimes sleeps

The best breakfast in the world is in NYC hidden in the new remade Essex Market. Punk rock fearlessness poured into the cooking (and attitude) here. Feels like it should be as well known as Katz's or any of these other NYC places people always talk about. It's family owned and has been in New York since the 70's. amazing music too, always. they're Mets fans too. magical place. one of the only authentix of old NY left.
