The most quietly elegant hotel is opening up next month with a spectacular spa and views tucked in the deep Catskills forest. Piaule launched as a home interiors line- glassware, ceramics, towels all brilliantly useable and now will be for sale on site at the hotel. You’d be playing yourself not to reserve a room now.

There is a riad in Morocco that I have never stayed at but they have a rooftop restaurant. The hotel is something out of a dream and each room is designed by a different artist. If I had infinite money I would stay here for as many days as there are rooms and stay in a different room each night. Bonus that the street cats come up the roof and sit on the ledge while you are eating dinner, magical. https://www.salutmaroc.com/had

I love hotels, and gatekeeping… but this is one of my favorites in the world. It’s not about a fancy spa, or a posh gym or endless views. It’s just a classic city hotel, in one of the top 3 best cities in the world. Half is historic, half is refinished. I can’t wait to design a hotel.

An exhibition of art and home objects curated by Alexander May who has gathered some of what I would consider the most exciting artists and designers together to occupy a space that will inspire you and make you want to spend all of your money.

I’m obsessed with this account on Vietnamese refugees who redefined their identities through new wave. The documentation and references are incredibly preserved. Not to mention the photography and style is serving major attitude. My parents were apart of the same period and region so I’m loving the celebration.

I’ve recently been reconnected to a childhood household ingredient that was commonly used in my Vietnamese upbringing . We put it on everything- eggs, rice, vegetables, soups. I thought it was soy sauce but recently found out it originated from Switzerland! The taste is super rich in umami and can turn any dish into a delicacy and the packaging is not to be overlooked.
