There is a riad in Morocco that I have never stayed at but they have a rooftop restaurant. The hotel is something out of a dream and each room is designed by a different artist. If I had infinite money I would stay here for as many days as there are rooms and stay in a different room each night. Bonus that the street cats come up the roof and sit on the ledge while you are eating dinner, magical. https://www.salutmaroc.com/had
Specifically this one in Sheffield that is so stuck in time. itβs like objectively probably not a very good hotel for its price but I just love how liminal it is. I love how hotels feel removed from reality, from time, from responsibility. Everything is deliciously suspended.
I think the biggest thing my therapist helped me realize is that moments that are tough or seasons of your life that seem impossible will not last forever. It is not about sitting in the struggle but understanding how to effectively work through it.
accept the love that is presented to you and do not run away from it, each opportunity to hang is a bid for connection, take them in stride and with open arms
