Lately I've only been wearing designs my friends made. Like Go Home Eli, Duality Junkie, FFF, David Enth and some one off pieces and of course thrifted pieces. There are some designer pieces in my closet but even those brands I’ve developed close relationships with. I just figure if you're gonna go out and buy some shit it might as well be from the homies and keep the money in the same network.

Sometimes you’re lucky enough to stumble upon something great entirely by accident and at exactly the right time. This is how I feel about Tony Shirtmakers. Tony is a one man powerhouse who designs and makes (mostly custom) shirts & shirt jackets out of his home / studio in Maine. I am impatiently awaiting a beautiful brown-olive shirt jacket I commissioned a few weeks ago that should arrive right around the time this newsletter drops. Tony also just launched a small collection ready-to-wear at No Man Walks Alone — grab a top before they’re all gone!

A few months ago, I reached out on here looking for recommendations for a custom chain stitched jacket for my husband‘s birthday. isthefruitstillgood recommended Tattoo’d Cloth to me, and I am now passing along the recommendation!
He was super easy to work with and did this in a short amount of time. USPS lost the package for a month and it just now got to us, which I am very grateful for and it is perfect timing with the changing of the weather. He is located in Brooklyn, so if you are in the area, check him out! He’s always doing an events and stuff.

Fabi Reyna is one of the first people we collaborated with here in PDX by making her a custom suit for her music act called “Reyna Tropical”. She is a fellow Mexican-born and Portland based artist. She created She Shreds Magazine a couple years back with it being the only independent magazine that focused on providing a platform for female and LGBTQ folks in the music industry. She also plays the guitar in a dope local band called Savila and has another duo called Reyna Tropical. She not only is one of the most talented people I know but also one of the most hard-working and kindest.

Talisa is a close friend of mine and frequent collaborator for G&G. She shoots everything on film and develops a lot of her own photography. She explores sometimes by utilizing wine or different liquids to develop her photos and create a beautiful color texture and contrast. We worked with her for our S/S 19’ collection and are currently working on a new photoshoot for some new things we have prepared for 2021. We also utilized her photography for some of the artwork for MANE earlier this year.
