Tights help, too: whichever black pair you last picked up for $7 at the drugstore, a fleece-lined pair for especially cold days, and a couple different brightly colored pairs for days when you’re feeling like Twiggy. I do not run and I do not rush. I went on a date with a guy to Coney Island once, and to get the train back to the city you have to walk up about four flights of stairs. The guy goes “the train is coming!” He runs up the stairs, I continue to walk, he makes it on the train, the doors close before I get up there. He rides away and I never see him again.
