There's nothing quite like getting up in the morning, having a wee snack and a big mug of coffee, and doing the NYT Spelling Bee while I wait for my Vyvanse to kick in. It's a little game on the NYT games app (yes I shell out the $ for it every month) where you try to come up with 4+ letter words using the select letters you are given that day. It makes me feel smart and like my brain is working and warming up (as opposed to scrolling on IG and a surplus of numbness). ๐ง ๐ช
Posting this only so people know the NYT games of wordle, connections and the mini crossword etc are FREE everyday. I think if youโre really good at the spelling bee and are going up past 30 points (and who is?) you have to be a paid subscriber, but you can get basic brain training every morning for FREE. Better than Wordscapes and no ads! Letโs all delay dementia together.
compulsively needing to achieve QB every day even though its not fun and rather frustrating and now I see words that dont exist all the time. in terms of entertainment value to time spent or even impressing other people to time spent it is atrocious compared to the other things you can do on the app. It is for retirees that need to waste time until they die. It is not for 23 year olds that need to get their bag up. But alas.
