I have a handful of recordings stacked up in the voice memos app, but the tascam ones and anything I brush up a bit gets sent to the itunes library. custom album art is just the cherry on top :)

Obviously don’t bootleg like, a local band. But I have a bootleg Springsteen and Hole records.
It’s one thing to tape over a cassette, but recording over vinyl is really cool. Plus they’re incredible shows and sounds excellent. Just really cool additions to a collection. find a recording of a show you could only dream of attending!

Bootleg not because it's DIY but because it's a compilation from different releases. My friend burned the discs and printed the labels with his thermal printer, and I'm folding 100 sleeves with construction paper and putting it all together. I also designed the labels. Been getting back into busking and these will be my merch

i have a huge collection of digital music still on my hard drive from when i was a heavy pirate bay user in the 2000s/2010s + copied my now lost cd collection. but my computer is too old to be compatible w my iphone so i had to switch to spotify. as soon as i can use my library again my plan is to put the money i would use for spotify in a lil jar and use that to buy cds instead. also, i used to always carry a usb stick on my keychain and whenever friends were playing cool music i would ask if i could copy it. borrow ur friends cds! buy random cds at flea markets! borrow cds from the library and copy them to your computer! tbh choosing what to listen to every time on streaming gives me brain fatigue. i remember it was very soothing to organize my collection and know that i could play it on shuffle and always find something interesting.

Friends you met out in the neighborhood at a bar or park or cafe or wherever a couple times and struck up a rapport with.
You don’t have eachother’s phone numbers, no social media info.
I have a couple friends like this and it’s been such a nice social change up. Always a pleasant surprise to bump into them out and about.
