Bootlegging concerts

I have a handful of recordings stacked up in the voice memos app, but the tascam ones and anything I brush up a bit gets sent to the itunes library. custom album art is just the cherry on top :)

Bootlegs

Bootleg not because it's DIY but because it's a compilation from different releases. My friend burned the discs and printed the labels with his thermal printer, and I'm folding 100 sleeves with construction paper and putting it all together. I also designed the labels. Been getting back into busking and these will be my merch

collecting cassette tapes

a cassette will cost you a third of what an LP will, while offering you that same sense of physical ownership. but it puts everyone – major label, indie label, local band, bedroom improviser, mixtape compiler, bootlegger – on the same level. cheap to make, easy to do in very tiny limited runs, easy to make into beautiful objects. the affordability and the small form factor make them easy to keep picking up - at any merch stand, bandcamp page, overseas record store or charity shop. even if I do most of my listening digitally these days, it's a lovely treat to bring the walkman out if I'm walking into town.

🪦🌸 grave gardening

I’ve been volunteering at a Victorian cemetery since 2016. We plant era-appropriate flowers and plants in the grave of people who have been dead for 100-200 years. It’s such a peaceful, meaningful way to remember the long dead and interact with nature. also I’m certain I have ghost friends who are coming through for me on the astral plane.
