Honestly the nostalgia is great, almost all of the gameplay (and parts of the ui) are the same as 20 years ago. It’s got some fun little daily tasks and chores you can do to keep yourself and your pet busy. And most importantly some crazy shit is about to go down. Neopets has been gearing up for a new event coming and it may really shake things up, as well as bring in older characters from the site.
We had so much fun on websites like these when we were kids. It's really scary to think that kids don't have equivalents to these anymore because they felt so formative to our socialization. this weekend a man on the bridge dropped his airpods so i picked them up for him then on his run back when he passed me he smiled and waved because we were microfriends. i will never see him again but we had our moment i just made this term up but it feels right to describe a nice little fleeting human connection drop your microfriendship stories/recs
