One of the great movies from the 1970's, it typifies what was great about those 10 years in cinema from 1967 to 1977. It shows people as imperfect as they actually are, without trying to make them "types" like happened so much both before and after those great 10 years of movies. Recommended!
cannot get this one off me! Gena Rowlands falling apart and having perfect voluminous hair throughout, gallons of J&B scotch. this freako apartment?? amazing.
costuming 10/10, plus marilyn, music, and surprisingly progressive undertones. honestly a cultural touchstone in so many ways (i also recommend some like it hot, not in color but still very good)
Peter Yates, director of "Bullitt" made this gritty crime drama about a down-and-out, two-bit criminal played by Robert Mitchum. His character, Eddie Coyle, finds himself in a real bind and spends the movie desperately trying to get himself out of it. How it all transpires feels as realistic as it could get. Every minute feels like it actually happened. Again, another movie from that great decade from 1967 to 1977. Recommended!
